Fay & Gonzalo Cannot Stop The Rugby Classic!

Sub-tropical storm Fay and Hurricane Gonzalo were significant events at NSC. The severe winds and a possible tornado knocked down 4 massive light standards on the north fields as well as doing damage to another 11 light towers at the Centre.

NSC’s contractors and staff have done a remarkable job restoring use at the Centre while preparing the north fields to host the 27th Annual World Rugby Classic. All upright light towers are being remedied through repairs. Four new light towers will be designed, manufactured and installed on the north fields.

NSC wishes to express its appreciation to all of our customers who readily switched their use of the north field track to the south track. We also appreciate the patience of our fields users while we repositioned planned use and scheduling of activities to the south field.
